On 28th April 2025, Lourdes College of Nursing, in collaboration with Lourdes Hospital Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, organized a National Level Workshop titled “Research Quest: Enhancing Methodological Excellence”. The event was held at the Lourdes Hospital Conference Hall and brought together aspiring researchers and professionals from across the state.The workshop aimed at strengthening research methodology skills among healthcare professionals and students. It featured in-depth, insightful sessions by esteemed resource persons: Mr. Biju George, Associate Professor of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Kannur and Ms. Natasha Gulati, Customer Success Team Manager, Elsevier Health
The key topics covered during the workshop included: Sampling Techniques and Sample Size Calculation, Research Designs and International Guidelines for Research Reporting, Publishing in Peer-Reviewed Journals, Artificial Intelligence in Health Research and Identifying the Right Research Topic and Journal Each session was designed to be interactive and educational, focusing on real-world applicability and evidence-based practices. The speakers provided valuable guidance on how to enhance the quality and credibility of research outputs, which is crucial for academic growth and societal impact.Participants found the workshop highly informative and relevant, particularly those pursuing careers in health sciences and research. The knowledge imparted is expected to empower them in conducting high-quality research, contributing meaningfully to the scientific community and public health advancements.
