Internal Complaints Committee/ Poshc ( Prevention Of Sexual Harassment Committee )

The College has established the Internal Complaints Committee under the provisions of ‘The Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013’. The committee handles complaints of sexual harassment and other misconduct. The cell is intended to take care of complaints from women and solve the problems according to UGC guidelines and Supreme Court orders. It creates awareness on sexual harassment redressal mechanisms. The Cell organizes seminars/special talks and speeches about sexual harassment in the campus.

OBJECTIVES

• To establish a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment free from sexual harassment for all students, staff, and faculty members.
• To promote awareness and sensitivity about sexual harassment through regular educational initiatives, posters, and informational materials.
• To ensure fair, prompt, and confidential handling of sexual harassment complaints in accordance with institutional and legal guidelines.
• To safeguard the rights and dignity of complainants and witnesses by preventing victimization, retaliation, or discrimination.
• To provide appropriate psychological, emotional, physical, and legal support to survivors, based on their needs and consent.
• To create a culture of respectful dialogue and conflict resolution that emphasizes conciliation without compromising justice.
• To maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all complaints, investigations, and outcomes

The term of the members of the committee shall be two years.
