LIBRARY COMMITTEE

The library at Lourdes College of Nursing is a thriving learning center devoted to assist our teachers, staff, and students in their academic and research pursuits. It enables the students to succeed academically by offering a nurturing learning environment. There are more than 6000 print and 1600 digital books. In addition, 35 print journals and online databases (Clinical Key). Our library uses subject-wise shelving according to the DDC categorization scheme.

OBJECTIVES

  • To establish broad guidelines and policies for the effective administration and management of the library.
  • To contribute to the overall planning and development of library resources and services
  • To promote optimum use of the library by students and faculty through awareness and engagement
  • To recommend relevant books, journals, and other reading materials for procurement based on academic needs.
  • To periodically assess the library’s effectiveness in meeting the informational and educational requirements of its users.

FREQUENCY OF MEETING: Quarterly : Third Friday once in three months
