The Community Health Nursing Department aims in delivering compassionate care to individuals and families in the community. The undergraduate and post graduate students are trained to become proficient in providing preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services. Our well-equipped lab gives students valuable opportunities to practice and refine their skills. They are equipped to provide comprehensive health care services by using the concepts and principles of Health and Community Health Nursing. The department strives to achieve excellence in teaching and learning activities through developing and executing strong educational programs and research leading to enhanced care of the urban and rural community. Our outreach services extend to Community Health Centre Varappuzha, Family Health Centres Edapally, Cheranalloor and Urban Primary Health Centres Thrikkakara, Kennadymukku. The department has been actively engaged in conducting surveys, community assessment, nutritional programs, school health programs, organizing clinics and camps and participates in implementation of National Health Programs.
