Obstetrics and Gynaecology nursing department offers various courses to MSc and BSc nursing students in Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing. The department have well equipped maternity laboratory to provide the students a realistic simulated clinical environment to practice and demonstrate competency of nursing skills. The department appreciates the concepts and principles of Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing and helps students to acquire knowledge, develop attitude and skills in rendering nursing care to normal and high risk pregnant women, and gynaecological patients in hospital and community settings. It also helps to develop skills in managing normal and high- risk neonate. The department actively participates in various research activities focusing evidence based practice. The department collaborates with the hospital nursing service, thereby contributing towards service, education, administration and research to achieve higher quality outcomes. The faculties and the students organize and conduct various programs related to reproductive health, obstetrical, newborn and gynaecological care.
