On November 15, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Lourdes College of Nursing organized an informative awareness session on “Cybersecurity” at the college auditorium. The session aimed to educate students and staff on the growing risks in the digital world and promote safe online behavior.
The resource person for the session was Sri Pramod Y T, Sub-Inspector of Police, Cyber Cell, Police Commissionerate, Ernakulam. He shared in-depth insights into the evolving landscape of cyber threats and their impact on personal safety and mental well-being. Key topics covered included: Phishing attacks, Malware and ransomware, Identity theft, Online frauds and data breaches. Mr. Pramod emphasized the importance of vigilance, digital literacy, and community involvement in preventing cybercrime. He also offered practical tips on safeguarding personal information and practicing safe online habits.
The session was highly engaging and well-received, enhancing awareness about digital threats and empowering participants to become responsible cyber citizens.
