In observance of World Food Day 2024, celebrated annually on October 16, the students of Lourdes College of Nursing organized a health exhibition and education program titled “Fiesta” on September 20, 2024. The event was dedicated to promoting nutritional awareness among the teaching and non-teaching faculty of the college. As part of the program, students designed and presented ten specialized diet menus tailored to various age groups and medical conditions including renal diet, adolescent diet, anemia in pregnancy diet, lactation women diet, hypertensive diet and diabetic diet. Preparations took place in the morning, with the formal program commencing at 2:00 PM. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Sr. Lilly Joseph, Principal of Lourdes College of Nursing, who appreciated the students’ effort in combining education with creativity and health awareness.
The exhibition allowed students, and faculty members to gain valuable insights into practical dietary planning for different health needs. The event concluded on a joyful note with the distribution of fruit salad to all staff, fostering a sense of community and well-being.
